I have a background in teaching, having previously taught GCSE level Music Production and provided free production sessions for young people. INTRODUCTION TO LOGIC COURSE

Taking place over 8 sessions at your organisation’s venue, this is a concise introduction to Logic and music production in general. Ideal for groups of patrons who are beginners or intermediates. This service can be tailored to your individual needs.

    1. Introduction to Logic’s interface, tools, and programming.

    2. Introduction to recording, audio editing and audio manipulation.

    3. Introduction to the 4 basic components of synthesis.

    4. A brief introduction to FX and mixing and mastering techniques.

  • 5. Soundcloud genres: a look at trap and phonk, with a focus on 808s, sound pallette and structure.

    6. Mainstream genres: a look at pop and house music, with a focus on vocal processing.

    7. Rave genres: a look at drum and bass, with a focus on synthesis, structure and mixing techniques.

  • An open session to give patrons an opportunity to revisit topics, ask questions, and gain feedback on their projects.

dJ WORKSHOPS AND COMPETITION

Give your patrons the opportunity to get experience on industry standard equipment through these DJ workshops at either a one-to-one level or in groups, with an optional competition to see who rolls out best. Ideal for festivals as well as organisations.

  • A 2hr session for individuals to get a good grasp on industry standard equipment.

  • A 3hr introductory session for groups of up to 6.

  • An optional DJ competition between your now-trained patrons. Ideal for festivals.

STUDIO 12 - LEEDS, 2023

A previous iteration of the Introduction to Logic course at Leeds City Council’s Studio 12, a space for young people to drop in and create music, graphic designs, and videos. Taking place in 2 hour sessions over 8 weeks, the sessions covered everything from programming, synthesis, recording and audio editing techniques, mixing and mastering, and listening skills.

Organising classes and designing assignments and tests to teach recording techniques, songwriting, production techniques, and mixing & mastering at GCSE level, with a focus on Logic Pro X.
